Red River Motorcycle Trails
Saint Jo, Texas Private
Red River Motorcycle Trails is a 2,700-acre private riding park near Saint Jo, Texas, with sandy woods trails, creek bottoms, and steep rocky hill climbs.
Red River Motorcycle Trails, often just called RRMT or "Bulcher" after the ghost town it sits in, is a privately owned riding park on 2,700 acres of ranch land near the Red River and the Oklahoma line. Riders have used it since 1972, which makes it one of the oldest riding spots in Texas. The ground changes fast: flowing sandy trails through thick trees, sandy river bottoms, clay, loose black dirt, and steep rocky climbs and descents. RiderPlanet puts the trail network at about 25 miles and rates it moderate to very difficult. There are also big sandy open areas to play in. The terrain was tough enough to host the Red Bull Last Man Standing extreme enduro from 2005 to 2007.
The park is shared. Dirt bikes, dual sport bikes, ATVs, and side-by-sides are all allowed, while Jeeps and dune buggies are not. Riders on a 2017 Two Wheeled Texans thread said most trails are ATV-width with deep ruts, that the single track is reached by way of the ATV trails, and that the sandy soil drains well after rain. There is a kids' track in the second gate area for young riders.
Getting there
The entrance is at 15393 North FM 373, in Bulcher, Cooke County, about an hour and a half north of Dallas–Fort Worth. From I-35, take Highway 82 west from Gainesville to Muenster, turn north on Main Street, then follow FM 373 about 14 miles west. From the Wichita Falls side, leave Highway 82 at Saint Jo and take FM 2382 northeast about ten miles to FM 373. Watch for the Red Bull Barn left over from Last Man Standing; the gate is about two miles past it. The park's mailing address is in Muenster, and the physical address uses Saint Jo, so all three town names get used for the same place.
Fees, permits, and rules
As of September 2026, the park's site lists a visitor day pass at $30 per rider. Kids 9 and under ride free. Annual memberships run $150 for an adult and $100 for a rider aged 10 to 17. Members pay $20 a day, their guests pay $25 when the member is present, and members can ride on weekdays by appointment. Visitors pay for their whole stay up front when they arrive.
- RiderPlanet says a Texas OHV decal is not required here, and the park is not on TPWD's list of decal venues.
- An MX helmet is required.
- Night riding is not allowed.
Primitive camping is free and first come, first served, including spots along Mountain Creek, with port-a-potties but no showers for visitors. Members can reserve covered RV sites with 30 or 50 amp power (no water, sewer, or dump station), and the park rents two furnished two-bedroom cabins.
